A 6 hour seminar for HVACR Service Technicians & Installers with from one year to several years of experience or more. The information covered in this seminar pertains to the operation and service of residential and light commercial split systems and rooftop units. Course materials, video demonstrations and lectures are designed to provide the participant with the information needed to: Recognize refrigerant side symptoms of low airflow through the evaporator. Air Properties and Air Flow Measurement: Causes and Symptoms of too Low and too High Airflow in cooling and heating modes. Check for Proper Airflow using DB and WB temperature measurements, use of Air Flow Hood, Hot Wire anemometer, Air Static Pressure measurements and Airflow Performance Tables and voltmeter/ammeter/sensible heat formula to find CFM. Calculating Cooling Capacity in the field. Causes of and Solutions for Duct & Grille Sweating.

A good opportunity for Service Technicians to prepare for NATE tests. Any absences must be made-up next time seminar is held to earn a certificate (at no additional fee).

Note: There is no "hands on training" in this seminar. There will be problem solving exercises at the end of each session. These problem solving exercises will help ensure mastery of the topics taught that evening.

Note: Class will include one hour instruction on the new A2L refrigerants.

A certificate will be awarded only upon successful completion of all requirements including: attending 90% of all class hours. Any absences must be made-up next time seminar is held to earn a certificate (at no additional fee).
