A seminar for HVACR Technicians & Installers that have from one year to several years of working experience.
The objective of this 9 hour Chiller Service Fundamentals (3 evenings) seminar is to raise the level of chiller system knowledge and understanding for individuals responsible for the operation, maintenance and service of air conditioning duty and process duty water chillers to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
This is a non brand specific sourse. The information presented pertains to chiller operation and trouble shooting.
Subjects: Reciprocating ,Scroll, and Screw Compressor Chillers; Air Cooled and Water Cooled Chiller System Components including water side components, Refrigeration Cycle, Superheat, Subcooling, Checking Refrigerant Charge, Checking Water Flow, Checking Loop Volume, Pre-Start-up Procedures, System Operation, Refrigerant System Service and Diagnostic Procedures including the use of Cooler and Condenser Approach Temperatures for System Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance.
Note: Class will include one hour instruction on the new A2L refrigerants.

Payment must be received in advance of class. No payments can be made upon class arrival. Verbal registrations are not acceptable. All registrations are on a first come basis.

Note: there is no "hands on training" in this seminar. There will be problem solving exercises at the end of each session. These problem solving exercises will help ensure mastery of the topics taught that evening. The technician will be presented with 15-20 common chiller specific problems and will be presented with chiller specific trouble shooting techniques and information.
A certificate will be awarded upon completion of all requirements including: attending 90% of all class hours. Any absences must be made-up next time seminar is held to earn a certificate (at no additional fee).
