A 24 hour seminar for HVAC Technicians, Installers and others responsible for service and maintenance of AC equipment with from 6 months to several years of experience and are interested in developing a solid foundation of electrical knowledge. The information covered pertains to residential and commercial HVAC systems. Course materials, videos and lectures are designed to provide the participant with the information to:
UNDERSTAND ELECTRICITY AS IT PERTAINS TO HVAC SYSTEMS INCLUDING:
● The basic concepts of voltage, amperage and resistance and their affects in a circuit; ● Conductors, insulators, loads, fuses and circuit breakers; ● The components of a complete electrical circuit; ● The construction; operation; rating and testing of transformers, relays, contactors, ● Series and parallel circuits ● Single and three phase power; ● Simple wire and over current protector sizing; ● Using test meters; ● How power enters a building/reaches the AC unit; ● Safety; ● Proper installation practices; ● Typical circuit malfunctions and their affects; ● Field wiring and operating sequences of a furnace, air handler, condensing unit, ● Reading wiring diagrams and ● Basic Circuit Testing with voltmeter and ammeter ● Basic Trouble Shooting for HVAC control circuitsusing the "Hop Scotch" method of cricuit troubleshooting.
Note: Class will include one hour instruction on the new A2L refrigerants.
Tuition: $720.00
Payment must be received in advance of class. No payments can be made upon class arrival. Verbal registrations are not acceptable. All registrations are on a first come basis.

Note: There is no "hands on Training" in this seminar. There will be problem solving exercises at the end of each session. These problem solving exercises will help ensure mastery of the topics taught that evening.
A certificate will be awarded only upon successful completion of all requirements including: attending 90% of all class hours. .Any absences must be made-up next time seminar is held to earn a certificate (at no additional fee).
